How a 1,000-Year-Old System Becomes Your Decision-Making Partner
Not a one-time reading. A permanent database you query for every major decision.
You now know: what your material is, where your driving force comes from, how your gap can be transformed, and how your battlefields are arranged.
But if all of this is just “knowing” — how is it any different from every personality test you’ve ever taken?
The difference is here: this system is alive. It walks with your life.
How You Use It
This isn’t something you calculate once and you’re done. It’s a tool you come back to every time you face a major decision.
Before changing jobs — check your Decade Period and Annual Period. Is this the right time to move? Does your structure at this stage support a transition, or does it support steady accumulation?
Before a partnership — check the relationship structure between you and the other person. Are you complementary or conflicting? Does your energy pattern amplify each other, or cancel each other out?
Before an investment decision — look at your Wealth Star window. Are these three years for offense or defense? Does your structure in this period support risk, or support caution?
Every January — come back and recalibrate. See how this year’s Annual Period interacts with your structure. Which battlefields are activated this year, which ones need to stay quiet.
MBTI won’t tell you any of this. Horoscopes won’t. No questionnaire-based test will.
Because they don’t have a time axis. This system does.
Decade Periods and Annual Periods
Your chart is static — it records the structure of the moment you were born. But your life is dynamic.
The ancients used two concepts to handle this dynamic:
Decade Period (大運) — one phase every ten years. Determines the general direction of that decade. Think of it as a season — some decades are planting seasons, some are harvest seasons, some are fallow seasons. If you force a harvest during fallow, you’re going to struggle.
Annual Period (流年) — the environmental variable of each year. Decade Period is the season, Annual Period is the weather. Within the same season, each year’s weather is different. Your strategy needs to account for both.
This is why P1 mentioned “when your window is” — that window isn’t random. It’s written in your Decade and Annual Periods.
The Report Is a Manual, Not a Reading
Most people’s impression of “fortune-telling” is this: someone sits across from you, says things you half-understand, you nod, then go home and forget most of it.
That’s not what a report should be.
A report is a manual. It has structure, data, and context. If you can’t understand it, that’s not your problem — it’s the writer’s problem. The ancients didn’t intend for you to be confused. Translation is our responsibility, not your homework.
And it can be debugged.
Divination ends when it’s done. You can’t go back and ask “was what you said last time actually right?” Because no data was kept.
This system keeps data. Your chart is a permanent database. Every inference can be tracked, verified, and corrected. If I got it wrong, I fix it. Nobody else dares to say that — because nobody else keeps data.
The Researcher Model
My job isn’t “telling your fortune.” It’s researching your structure.
You go live your life. I study your data. You come back with experiences, and we recalibrate together. The longer you live, the more data there is, the more precise the inferences become.
This isn’t a one-time transaction. It’s an ongoing research relationship.
The longer you subscribe, the more you understand. The more you understand, the more useful the report becomes. It’s a two-way loop.
So Where Are We Now
Five articles. What you now know:
This system studies resource allocation, not soul growth
You have a factory setting — it determines how you make money
Your gap might be the most valuable thing about you
There are two systems — one reads your material, one reads your battlefield
This is an ongoing decision-making tool, not a one-time reading
This is the minimum knowledge required to understand your own report.
If you want to know what your structure looks like — your material, your illness and remedy, your twelve palaces, your Decade Period for the next ten years — that’s what the report is for.
Glossary
Decade Period (大運, dàyùn) — one phase every ten years. Determines the general direction of that decade, like a season.
Annual Period (流年, liúnán) — the environmental variable of each year. Decade Period is the season, Annual Period is the weather.
